It's about self-discovery and what you learn in each and every activity that's undertaken....things as simple as feeling the cool breeze across your face as you paddle across the lake to The Retreat in the chill of the early morning Himalayan breeze, with no-one around to disturb your tranquil setting but a few fishermen in their dugout boats. Or sitting on an undisturbed hilltop with nobody around but You, the lake, the fresh air, the himalayan peaks and your thoughts.
Wander and mix with the old Tibetan women selling their trinkets and chat about lifestyles and the Tibet of years gone by. Luxuriate in the warm curative waters of a Himalayan hot spring…. 3 days’ walk from nowhere, soothing away the day's / year’s cares. Enjoy the lush garden and views from your chair over freshly brewed coffee and your journal. End a day’s journey with the rejuvenation of a relaxing massage or aromatherapy session. Sit in the upper branches of our tree-house and catch the last of the sun’s rays as it drops behind the hilltop while the valley stills to the onset of evening and the Annapurnas turn from white to orange and mauve.

Sit around the evening bonfire and listen for wild tiger roaring ‘just’ across the valley. Join in the storytelling workshops or learn how to fish with nets in the lake….Milk the cows and feed the goats, plough the fields or sow them with rice in the timeless tradition of buffalo and wooden plough. Join a rowdy class of Nepali Primary students and share your experiences whilst they offer to teach you a traditional dance.

Masters are on hand for daily Yoga and Meditation Classes, plus we offer select, small group Dharma Study Retreats under the guidance of world-renowned Tibetan Master Choki Nima Rinpoche.
